As a board-certified interventional pain physician with specialized training in ultrasound-guided injection techniques and regenerative medicine, Dr. Chabla treats sports injuries, post-surgical dysfunction, and refractory neuropathic pain using evidence-based and interventional protocols, restoring tissue architecture and function without chronic medication dependence.
"As an anesthesiologist, I understand pain at the neurological and mechanical level. That training allows me to address the root cause-not just mask symptoms. Whether through ultrasound-guided injections or specialized anesthesia protocols, the goal is to restore function and get you back to what matters."
Dr. Luis Chabla, MD
Dr. Chabla trained in anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate and completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Maryland. He spent eight years as faculty in interventional pain medicine, anesthesiology, and regional anesthesiology at NYU and Columbia University, where he developed advanced ultrasound-guided injection protocols and trained residents in complex pain procedures. He brings academic rigor and elite interventional technique to a private, patient-centered practice in midtown Manhattan.

Live ultrasound lets Dr. Chabla see the tendon, nerve, or joint in real time. The first visit is diagnostic.
This is when tissue needs a repair signal, not a symptom cover. PRP concentrates growth factors from your own blood.
The goal is to delay or avoid surgery where tissue can still respond. A diagnostic nerve block isolates the source first.

Some pain stops being a local problem. The nervous system itself becomes sensitized and keeps amplifying signals long after the original injury has healed. Standard localized injections do not reach this central amplification.
Ketamine infusions – administered and monitored directly by Dr. Chabla, a board-certified anesthesiologist. A specialized protocol consisting of a series of three to six sessions.

Expertise in ultrasound-guided injection techniques, nerve blocks, and regenerative biologics developed during academic faculty years at NYU and Columbia.
Understanding of neuroanesthesia and pain physiology allows us to address root causes, not symptoms.
All protocols use FDA-approved treatments (PRP, shockwave therapy, advanced nerve blocks) supported by clinical literature.
Dr. Chabla personally performs all procedures and oversees all patient care.
No insurance delays, no prior authorizations, flexible scheduling, immediate access to care.
Treatment plans built around return to sport, work capacity, and function, not indefinite pain management.
Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition,
or trying to return to peak performance, we’re here to help.
